ESD diodes in the DFN1010-3LW package provide a compact, low-profile, and high-performance protection solution for next-generation electronic designs. Compared with the traditional SOT-23 package, the DFN1010-3LW package significantly reduces PCB footprint and package height, helping customers save board space and achieve thinner, more compact, and higher-density product designs.

The compact package also allows the ESD diode to be placed closer to the connector or protected IC, improving ESD current diversion efficiency while providing greater layout flexibility. In addition, the leadless design helps reduce lead bending and coplanarity-related issues, supporting stable SMT assembly and improved product reliability.

Overall, ESD diodes in the DFN1010-3LW package not only serve as a space-saving alternative to SOT-23, but also offer an upgraded protection solution for compact and high-reliability electronic applications.

The TESDA1L2B17P1Q1 is an ESD protection device designed for a single LIN bus signal line, providing effective immunity against electrostatic discharge and transient surge events. Typical LIN applications include seat control systems, door locking modules, mirror adjustment units, and sensor interfaces such as rain sensors.

The LIN bus employs a single-wire serial communication scheme with a maximum data rate of 20 kbit/s. The operating bus voltage is approximately equal to the vehicle supply voltage, typically around 14.4V in a 12V automotive system. External ESD protection on the LIN bus is recommended to enhance module ESD robustness, as the LIN line may be shorted to the battery and must withstand the maximum battery voltage.

To maintain signal integrity at 20 kbit/s, diode capacitance should be below 100 pF, with values under 30 pF preferred.

The TESDA24VB6P02CX, designed for CAN Bus FD (CAN with Flexible Data-Rate) safeguards differential communication lines from electrostatic discharge, surge pulses, electromagnetic interference, and fast transient disturbances commonly encountered in automotive and industrial environments. Because CAN-FD supports significantly higher data rates—typically from 5 Mbps to 8 Mbps—the protection device must feature extremely low parasitic capacitance so it does not load the bus, distort the differential eye diagram, or slow signal edges.

With its ultra-low capacitance and robust surge capability, the TESDA24VB6P02CX ensures clean, stable CAN-FD communication even in harsh automotive conditions such as load dump, inductive switching, and ESD events. This allows engineers to achieve higher data-rate margins, reduce EMI design risk, and enhance overall system reliability without compromising signal integrity—an increasingly critical requirement in modern vehicle architectures.
