Taiwan Semiconductor Co.,Ltd   is committed to designing and developing environmentally friendly components.  

In July 2003, Taiwan Semi adopted practices specified by ISO 14001 guidelines for China Tianjin plant. In Nov 2003, our China Yangxin plant, specified by ISO14001 as well. In May, 2004, Taiwan implemented ISO14001 certification in Taiwan ILan Schottky wafer fab.  

As of Jan 1st , 2004, Taiwan Semi was in full compliance with RoHS — Restriction on the use of Hazardous Substances, the European Union directive on environmental protection. RoHS limits the use of six restricted substances in products and components sold in the European Union. Taiwan Semi provides a certificate of RoHS compliance with our products and components based on analysis, substance certifications, and lab test results. We will maintain a policy of working together with our suppliers to reduce hazardous materials in our manufacturing processes, and products.  

In 2005, Taiwan Semi was recognized by Sony for its environmental commitment, earning their prestigious Green Partner Certification.  

Taiwan Semi preserving the environment has become a priority and we are currently identifying and implementing ways to limit our company ’ s impact on the environment. We believe that a green world is a better world for everyone.
